See, we aren't total hermits that never drove anywhere...We have a lot of fond memories that wouldn't have
happened without 'Jimmy' or 'Beep'.

What would the world be like if we all got rid of our cars? This is a blog of the adventures of being car-free in Salt Lake City. By no means are we experts on this topic, we are just learning as we go along and invite you in on our journey to see that it is possible to survive in a city without owning a car.
Why we sold our Jeep.
1. We live downtown.2. Carla has about 12 ways to get to work without driving, Jake has about 5.
3. Parking is maddening, paying for parking is silly, paying tickets for parking...well, just sucks.
4. Car payments seem to be never ending.
5. Insurance payments really don't ever end
6. Living downtown allows us the breath all of the pollution from cars (SUV's, vans, and all other vehicles), one less can't hurt.
7. We live 1 block from our vet, 1 1/2 blocks from the (crappy) grocery store and about 4 blocks from the nice grocery stores, steps from bus stops, and inches from our bikes...can't beat that!
8. Have we said "ucarshare"??
9. And the final excuse for why we sold our jeep is because we could.
